Choose each other again, intentionally.
A space for couples to pause, reconnect, celebrate their love and strengthen the intimacy they are building together.

It began as a burden, not an event.
In the summer of 2013, a burden began to grow in my heart as I looked at the marriages around me and asked how we could help couples keep love, friendship and intimacy alive. This vision grew from real conversations with couples who loved one another but felt disconnected. They had not necessarily fallen out of love; life had slowly crowded out the time and attention their relationship needed.
Night of Marital Bliss was created to interrupt that drift. It is not about treating every marriage as broken. It is about giving couples a welcoming place to nurture their bond before distance becomes their normal way of life.
From Couples’ Night to Night of Marital Bliss
A question emerged that still guides this work: how do we help couples stay happily married, not simply stay married? Our first flagship event took place in February 2014 in Surrey, British Columbia, in the Greater Vancouver area. What began as Couples’ Night grew into a flagship gathering, later became Night of Marital Bliss, and was brought to Calgary.
The name reflects the heart of the vision: a night that takes couples back to their first love—to rediscover why they fell in love, remember what drew them to one another, and experience the joy and bliss of marriage again. Marriage is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured.
Since then, apart from a pause during COVID, we have gathered couples each year around different themes, with one enduring purpose: to rekindle love, reignite the fire and nurture lasting intimacy. Each theme invites couples to reconnect intentionally and keep building a marriage that thrives.
My husband, Pastor Erons, has been my partner and encourager in this vision. Our own marriage has taught us that friendship and intimacy need care through changing seasons. Each gathering makes space for couples to step away from the demands of work, parenting and daily responsibilities, and invest in one another.
Connection does not maintain itself.
Drift is usually gradual. Conversations get shorter. Check-ins disappear. Unspoken expectations and busyness begin to take the place of curiosity and tenderness. A couple may be managing a household well while feeling less like friends and companions.
Healthy marriages are not perfect marriages. They are relationships in which two people keep making room to listen, repair, learn and grow. Night of Marital Bliss offers a pause and a reset—a reminder that intimacy is built with intention.
Why we gather every year
Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is the challenge.
Most marriages start out strong. Then the kids come, the jobs and businesses grow, and life gets full. Slowly, without anyone deciding it, husband and wife stop doing the things they did when they were courting. Some couples drift apart. Many more stay married but stop enjoying their marriage. They are enduring it.
We take our cars in for regular maintenance. We sit through yearly reviews at work. We renew our insurance every year without a second thought. So why don’t we do the same for our marriages?
Night of Marital Bliss is that yearly check-in: one night set apart for couples to recharge, rediscover each other, rededicate their marriage and rekindle the love and passion they started with.
The heart of the vision
Intimacy is built on purpose
Intimacy is part of what keeps a couple together. It builds trust and connection, deepens satisfaction and keeps two people from growing apart over time. Couples with thriving marriages are not couples without problems. They are couples who are intentional, who protect their love, peace and unity, and who never let outside forces come between them.
Emotional
Feeling safe, seen and understood by each other.
Physical
Affection and closeness in the everyday moments, not only behind closed doors.
Sexual
A joyful, private union that both of you protect and nurture.
Intellectual
Sharing your thoughts, dreams and decisions as true partners.
“It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him — a counterpart who is] suitable and complementary for him.”
Genesis 2:18 (AMP)
Marriage is God’s idea, and it is good. Our prayer is that through the games, the guided moments and the Word, every couple leaves knowing this: you do not simply fall out of love. With intimacy, care and connection, you can keep choosing to love each other and build a healthy, thriving, godly marriage.
Our prayer for you
A prayer over every marriage
- That God will remain the centre of your marriage, the third strand of the cord that cannot be broken.
- That you will keep seeing the good in your spouse, the qualities that first drew you to each other.
- That you will win in agreement, not in argument, and meet each other with humility and respect even when you disagree.
- That your communication and friendship will grow deeper, and the two of you will truly become one in purpose, vision and plans.
- That your marriage will be full of joy, and that you will finish as strong as you started.
Amen.
